Original Watermen was built in the early 1980’s by surfing lifeguards who wanted nothing more than to explore remote undersides of the map for all things water. Today we are a company that embodies the close-knit community of like-minded water enthusiasts who actively wander the globe seeking to make a difference.
Small business is the backbone of this country, and our products founded in California are what makes us great! Considering our humble beginnings, it’s quite a feat that you’re reading this today. With all the pressures from the big corporations and overseas markets, small family run companies like ours seem hard to find. We value keeping the bread where it belongs, right here in America where we can give back to the core communities that have allowed us to succeed. We go to every means necessary to build the most durable and comfortable products.
In this industry many have come and gone, some big outerwear companies have attempted to stick their toes in the sand, but they always fail to deliver for the long run in the lifeguard market.
