Steve McKenzie’s (steve mckenzie’s)
A well-collected life with an esoteric gathering of brass bells, antique silhouettes, and a magnificent jeweled Buddha.
A warm range of gold tones from aged, patinated brass to
bright gilded motifs were the standout, unifying the varying patterns in the space. “Usually I don’t infuse a lot of glamour
into my interiors,” says McKenzie, “and the vignette was a great way to experiment.”
Ann Huff and Meg Harrington (Huff Harrington)
A European atmosphere with an irreverent mix of modern and classical pieces.
Inspired by the French indoor/outdoor spaces known as orangeries, the designers brought in a faux trellis wall and greenery. Boldly pairing antiques with colorful contemporary artwork against this botanical background was the perfect way to walk the line between outdoors and in. “We wanted an elegant but peaceful environment made for daydreaming,”
say Huff and Harrington, “and a quiet joie de vivre.”
