Whether in a home or in a retail setting, incorporating different textiles can go a long way to creating an appealing, engaging environment. Use these tips from the pros to create multi-textural spaces.

 Use a variety of props, each with different textures, within the same theme to highlight a product.
At Twigs and Moss, Haas might create rows of decoupage trays featuring nests and eggs, with
an actual bird’s nest interspersed in the rows.
A decoupage racehorse might share a shelf with a tarnished brass trophy.

3 Layering also helps showcase variety of textures. “Layers create a nice, rich volume of textures, and
let us pick and choose what we need for that specific moment or occasion,” says Kraidelman.
 2 When it comes to textiles, contrasts in both color and texture will help inspire customers. "These contrasts help customers visualize how they can revive certain corners of their homes with these new items," says Kraidelman.
