WEATHER OR NOT
It doesn’t have to be cold outside for gloves. Gloves translate to sophistication
at all times especially when worn for something other than cold weather, Stein says. Look for opera-length gloves in transparent lace covered with polka dots
or other embellishments and wrist-length sheer gloves adorned with strings of pearls.
Make gloves a part of your fashion displays so customers can see them
as interesting, attractive add-ons. “On mannequins, gloves can look great in the pocket of a jacket or a vest,” Dillon points out. Lyakhovich agrees, “It’s much more meaningful to the customer to see a look put together.”

FUNCTION MARRIES FASHION
Gloves might serve a necessary function
but that doesn’t mean they can’t be fun and fashionable. Print, pattern and vibrant colors are Echo’s focus, Lyakhovich says. Echo works with one of the hot new materials for 2017—velvet—and adds touches to gloves without going overboard on the theatricality.
“Do you need a glove when it’s very cold? Absolutely. Do you want it to be fun? Absolutely,” Lyakhovich says. “Gloves have the transformative power of an accessory that really brightens up an outfit, and puts a personal stamp on it.”
