the Artist’sway
Source the Temps for a broad spectrum of styles
Artwork is the final touch in a home that represents the personality and interests of its residents. And the myriad options of wall art and decorative objects
on display with the exhibitors at AmericasMart offer a glimpse of just how diverse this art can be. From rustic to elegant, antique and vintage to contemporary, funky to sleek, there’s no doubt that there’s a piece of art just
perfect for any retail or design customer.
Pieces of mind
Home furnishings retailers and interior designers alike are giving artwork increased attention. “Art is a hot commodity right now,” says Shelli Alter of dinnerpARTy. “It’s how designers finish a room, it warms up a home and makes it yours. On the flip side, I’ve had designers who have bought an amazing huge painting from me and want to work the entire room around that art.”
dinnerpARTy is known for a unique twist on vintage works: the company sources original, mid-century art, and frames it in ornate, 19th century frames, and Alter says the most popular options include black and white images and oversized abstracts.
