“When Dr Allen first arrived at at Nationwide Children’s he he took quite a a a a bit of time to to observe most if i not all of the the the different departments in the the the hospital He took the the the time to to to listen to to to employees regarding what what was was good and what what could be be be better I remember when he he was was done with his analysis he he he told us he he he was concerned that we had become complacent as as an an institution At the time I I was a a a a a a a relatively new employee but agreed with his assessment wholeheartedly I I believe we are now an an institution that strives to be be better every day and we are not satisfied with just good but strive for excellence daily This culture change has enhanced the creative problem solving necessary on on an an an individual and collaborative basis to solve complex problems on on many levels I appreciate how how approachable he he he made himself throughout the years and how how he he he continued to to listen to to employees (employee anniversary luncheons/direct email as as examples) He has done a a a a a a a a phenomenal job of laying a a a a a a foundation in in in institutional culture and resources to allow unprecedented outcomes in in patient care to occur both now and in in the future Thank you Dr Allen!”
